Entering the Year of the Rabbit, many places have held centralized construction ceremonies to welcome the "start of the year", including multiple LED projects.

On January 30th, the "Concentrated Construction Ceremony of Manufacturing Projects in the First Quarter of 2023 in Zhongshan City, Torch Development Division Venue and Major Platform Construction Ceremony of Torch Development Zone" was held in Liyu Industrial Park. 12 key industrial projects and 4 major platform projects in the entire region have started construction at the same time, with a total investment of approximately 27.9 billion yuan.

Among the 12 key industrial projects, it includes the production project of 160000 square meters of LED display screen display lighting by Zhouming Technology. This project is under the jurisdiction of Zhouming Technology, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan and a construction area of approximately 490000 square meters. It plans to build an advanced intelligent production line for display screens and lighting, covering display and lighting businesses, and laying out the Mini/Micro LED business.

According to the "Notice on Energy Conservation Review of Zhouming Technology's Annual Output of 160000 square meters of LED Display Lighting Production Project" released by the Development and Reform Bureau of Zhongshan City in October 2022, the project will achieve an annual production capacity of 1.35 million sets of LED display products and 8 million sets of LED lighting products, equivalent to 160000 square meters.

Zhuhai City

According to the official website of the Zhuhai Municipal People's Government, on January 29th, the "Zhuhai City Promotion of High Quality Development Site Meeting and the 2023 First Quarter Major Project Centralized Construction Activity" was successfully held. In the first quarter of 2023, there were 186 new construction projects in Zhuhai with a total investment of 91.6 billion yuan, including the Maiwei Pan Semiconductor Equipment and Semiconductor Materials Project, the Huichuangda New Generation Electronic Information Innovation Base Project, and the Ruijun South China Semiconductor Project.

Among them, the Maiwei Pan Semiconductor Equipment and Semiconductor Materials Project is constructed by Maiwei Technology (Zhuhai) Co., Ltd., and plans to build a Pan Semiconductor Laser Equipment Research and Production Base, mainly including equipment research and development and manufacturing for semiconductors, micro displays, and PCBs. The company also plans to establish high-speed and high-precision technology research and development centers, laser technology research and development centers, and industrial software research and development centers in Zhuhai to further improve its research and development capabilities.

The official website of the Zhuhai Municipal People's Government did not mention the investment amount of the project, but in May 2022, Maiwei Co., Ltd. announced that the company had signed a cooperation agreement with Zhuhai High tech Zone, intending to invest 2.1 billion yuan in the construction of Maiwei Semiconductor Equipment Project.
